Saturday, October 18, at 4:00 p.m., the Inca Regional Hospital will host the third edition of the “Chess and Health” Open, organised by the Balearic Chess Federation in collaboration with the Inca City Council.
The event aims to promote chess as a valuable tool for mental and emotional well-being, particularly within healthcare settings.

Alongside the main tournament, the 3rd “Chess and Health” School Tournament will take place, offering free registration for young participants.
The hospital currently features three chessboards donated by the Inca City Council, available in the garden areas for patients and their families to enjoy during their stay.
Research shows that chess helps improve focus, reduce stress, and encourage relaxation, making it a highly beneficial activity for patients who spend extended periods in hospital care.
