Bartomeu Bauçà Arrom to serve as the master of ceremonies for Dijous Bo 2025

Inca native Bartomeu Bauçà Arrom will deliver the opening address for the 2025 Dijous Bo, set for Friday 7 November at 8:30 pm in the Teatro Principal de Inca. The event will also feature performances by the Orfeó l’Harpa d’Inca and the quintet of the Orquestra de Cambra de Mallorca, including tenor José Manuel Sánchez and soprano Aina Campaner.

Bartomeu Bauçà, aged 54, is a well-known and highly respected figure in the city. He was born and raised on Avinguda de Lluc, trained as a plumber under his uncle Andreu Arrom, and later co-founded the company Bauçà Rubert Instal·lacions (BRI) with his brother-in-law. Deeply involved in Inca’s social and sporting life, Bauçà co-founded the Club Bàsquet Ciutat d’Inca in 2012 and served as president for twelve years. He is also a founding member of the Club Bàsquet Dijous Bo, a club proudly bearing the name of Inca’s greatest day.

His sporting and social track record also includes key roles such as Vice-President of the Federació de Bàsquet de les Illes Balears and being a trustee of Fundació FEBIB 1935, which champions the humanitarian side of basketball across the islands.

Inca’s mayor, Virgilio Moreno, emphasised: “Bartomeu Bauçà embodies the spirit of Dijous Bo like few others: hard work, commitment, passion and the pride of being from Inca. He is a greatly appreciated local, very involved in sports, and I am confident he will give us a proclamation full of feeling and love for our city.”

The Dijous Bo proclamation signals the start of the most anticipated events of the “fair of fairs”, one of Mallorca’s most emblematic celebrations. After the address, attendees will enjoy a musical evening featuring the Orfeó l’Harpa d’Inca and the quintet of the Orquestra de Cambra de Mallorca, accompanied by José Manuel Sánchez and Aina Campaner.
