The Government of the Balearic Islands has revealed the winners of the eighth edition of the Premis Esports IB, which honour athletes, teams and coaches who stood out during the 2024-2025 season.
The awards ceremony will take place on 19 December at the Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands in Palma, bringing together representatives from a wide range of sports to celebrate dedication, perseverance and the core values of Balearic sport.

Premis Esports IB 2025 awardees announced
These awards, organised by the General Directorate of Sport, highlight not only competitive success but also the human and social values linked to athletic activity.
2025 Award Recipients
- Male Promising Athletes: Rafel Tugores, Izunna Okafor and Daniel Dezuttere (volleyball)
- Female Promising Athlete: Marta Cardona (sailing)
- Best Female Athlete: Esperança Cladera (athletics)
- Best Male Athlete: Sergi Llull (basketball)
- Best Male Para-Athlete: Joan Sansó (para-cycling)
- Best Female Para-Athlete: Violeta del Reino (sailing)
- Best Women’s Team: Son Cladera Tennis Taula Club
- Best Men’s Team: Lô Esport Menorca
- Best Coach: Bep Llorens (volleyball)
- Best Female Coach: Natividad Riera (kickboxing)
The “Posam Valors a l’Esport” award goes to Club Vidalba, an organisation committed to promoting inclusive sport for people with disabilities.
The honorary award, given posthumously, will recognise Rafa Rullán, an iconic figure in Balearic basketball.
Special mentions will also be given to Gemma Triay, Bernat Xamena, Úrsula Pueyo, Ismael Uali, Alejandro Forcades and Àngels Moreno for their outstanding contributions to sport in the islands.
The 2025 gala is expected to be another highlight of the sporting year, celebrating the excellence and values that define Balearic sport.
