Antoni Oliver, Ernest Bordoy and Maria Femenies Win Art Jove Awards for Architecture and Graphic Design

The Mallorca headquarters of the Official College of Architects of the Balearic Islands (COAIB) hosted the final round of the 2025 Art Jove competition, where shortlisted participants presented their architectural and graphic design projects before the jury and attendees.

In the Completed Projects category, the first prize went to Can Gallineta, designed by Antoni Oliver. The jury praised the project for its strong connection to the landscape, the use of traditional materials and construction methods, and its overall architectural excellence. The award includes €3,000 in cash plus another €3,000 to design the exhibition for the 2027 edition. Second place was awarded to Casa de Terra by Lara Fuster, and third place to Improving Accessibility in Son Romeguera by Ione Beitzegui.

Antoni Oliver, Ernest Bordoy and Maria Femenies Win Art Jove Awards for Architecture and Graphic Design

The Future Projects category recognised Studi Houria, by Ernest Bordoy, with the first prize. The jury described it as “a well-rounded project” that successfully addresses a rehabilitation programme through sustainable architectural and constructive solutions. The second prize went to Arquitectura en Cultiu by Francina Amengual, and the third to Creative Factory of Molins de Fartàritx by Pau Miquel Jaume.

In the Graphic Design section, the first prize was awarded to L’art està servit, created by Maria Femenies. The project receives €1,500 in cash and an additional €5,000 to develop the 2026 Art Jove graphic identity and promotional spot. The jury highlighted the proposal’s originality and its playful use of Mallorcan cultural and gastronomic references. The second prize was granted to És temps de creació, by Pablo Rosso.
