The Balearic Islands will host the 2026 edition of the CEX Awards, a nationally recognised distinction that highlights outstanding business management practices. This year’s awards will focus on excellence in business succession management, a strategic area that plays a decisive role in ensuring the continuity and long-term sustainability of organisations.
The event will be organised by the Government of the Balearic Islands through ADR Balears, an agency under the Ministry of Enterprise, Self-Employment and Energy. In addition to acting as host, ADR Balears has promoted the central theme of this edition, reflecting its ongoing commitment to business succession as a key pillar of economic development.

The Balearic Islands to host the 2026 CEX Awards, focused on excellence in business succession management
The CEX Awards are promoted by the Asociación CEX, which brings together the leading public and private organisations dedicated to promoting excellence in management across Spain. Each year, the awards address a specific strategic challenge to encourage the exchange of best practices and foster a culture of quality, innovation and continuous improvement.
The 2026 edition will place special emphasis on generational transition processes, recognising exemplary practices related to the transfer of talent and business ownership. This focus responds to the growing challenges organisations face in managing generational change in an increasingly complex economic environment. In this context, ADR Balears actively develops the “Ibrelleu” programme, designed to connect business owners seeking to transfer their companies with entrepreneurs interested in continuing their activity.
Companies wishing to participate in the CEX Awards 2026 may submit their applications until 9 March. The finalist projects will be announced on 22 April and will present their initiatives during the award ceremony, scheduled to take place in the Balearic Islands on 22 May.
