Health Tracker wins Best IT Project at the 1st COEIIB Awards. Technology-driven innovation in healthcare

Health Tracker is an application jointly developed by the ICT Innovation area of the Bit Foundation and Son Espases University Hospital. The tool is designed to measure healthcare outcomes from the patient’s perspective, incorporating indicators related to quality of life, disease monitoring, and early detection of treatment-related complications.

The application enables real-time integration of patient-reported data into the hospital’s clinical records, supporting more personalised care and evidence-based clinical decision-making.

The project is aligned with an internationally recognised standard that ensures data quality, consistency, and usability, allowing healthcare professionals to evaluate outcomes efficiently and improve patient care.

Data-driven healthcare management

During the ceremony, the Vice President of the Bit Foundation, Sebastián González, expressed his appreciation for the award and highlighted the long-standing work of technical teams dedicated to improving citizens’ lives through digital solutions. He noted that many of these projects, while often invisible, are essential to the effective functioning of public services.

Health Tracker exemplifies a data-driven healthcare management approach, based on secure and reliable shared data repositories and the intelligent use of information to enhance healthcare delivery.

This recognition underscores the collaborative effort between institutions, engineers, and technical professionals involved in the project, and reflects the Bit Foundation’s commitment to innovation focused on improving people’s wellbeing.
