The public body Ports de les Illes Balears, attached to the Conselleria del Mar y del Ciclo del Agua, has launched the procedure for the allocation of moorings corresponding to the 7th waiting list at the autonomous harbour of Porto Petro, located in the municipality of Santanyí.

The initiative will make it possible to assign a total of six permanent moorings, distributed according to vessel dimensions. Specifically, the available moorings include one berth for smaller vessels, three for medium-sized boats, and two for larger recreational craft within the established length and beam ranges.

Moorings will be offered in accordance with the current waiting list, strictly respecting the order of registration and the specifications indicated in each application. In the case of generic applications, all available moorings may be offered when the applicant’s turn is reached.

This procedure forms part of the regular management of port public domain assets and aims to optimise existing resources while improving access to moorings for non-professional recreational vessels. Once the relevant decision is published in the official gazette, applications included in the waiting list may no longer be amended.

Through this action, PortsIB continues to promote orderly management at Porto Petro harbour and to progressively reduce the mooring waiting list, enhancing the efficiency and quality of port services.
