Mallorca will host the first major fashion show of the Moda Artesana de Mallorca quality label on Friday, 27 February, at the Teatre Principal in Palma. The event has been conceived as a platform to showcase artisanal talent linked to fashion and to strengthen the island’s position as a Mediterranean benchmark for creativity rooted in identity. The show is co-produced with the Teatre Principal de Palma and will take place in one of Mallorca’s most emblematic cultural venues.

During the official presentation, Carolina Cerezuela and Carla Moyà were announced as ambassadors of the brand. They will play a central role in promoting the project, supporting the artisans, increasing the visibility of their work and bringing Moda Artesana de Mallorca closer to the public. Their appointment reflects the intention to represent the connection between tradition and modernity, as well as the continuity of artisanal knowledge across generations.

Through the fashion show and subsequent actions, the project seeks to activate the Artisan Fashion Route and enhance recognition of local production based on quality, authenticity and cultural roots.

The Moda Artesana de Mallorca label currently brings together eighteen artisans, reflecting the diversity of the island’s traditional crafts. The project includes workshops specialising in textiles and garment making, jewellery and ornamentation, plant fibres, leatherwork and artisan footwear. All participants share a strong commitment to local production, the transmission of traditional skills and a vision of fashion closely linked to Mallorca’s cultural identity.

The fashion show at the Teatre Principal will act as a showcase for the creative potential of this official quality label, which has been established to certify the origin, quality and authenticity of artisan fashion products made on the island. Under the slogan “Dress in Mallorca”, the brand promotes fashion as a cultural expression, a living heritage and a project for the future.
