The Consell Insular d’Eivissa will take part from 3 to 5 March in ITB Berlin, one of the world’s leading international tourism trade fairs, to consolidate the German market as a strategic source of visitors for the island. This initiative forms part of the institutional strategy to strengthen stable markets characterised by longer stays and high visitor loyalty.

The German market continues to represent a significant volume of arrivals to Ibiza and shows a positive medium-term trend, remaining clearly above pre-growth levels. For the 2026 season, air connectivity from Germany ensures substantial seat capacity, maintaining solid links following the adjustment after the peak reached in the previous year.

Beyond volume figures, the profile of German visitors underlines their strategic importance. They are predominantly long-stay tourists, with a large proportion remaining on the island for more than one week, and with a high rate of repeat visitation. This pattern supports reduced turnover and greater stability throughout the tourist season.

From an economic perspective, the German market generates a balanced impact across the local economy, with expenditure distributed among key sectors such as restaurants, accommodation and retail, contributing to a diversified and sustainable tourism model.

The President of the Consell Insular d’Eivissa, Vicent Marí, highlighted that the German market aligns closely with the island’s strategy focused on quality, added value and stability, noting that participation in ITB Berlin strengthens Ibiza’s positioning as a destination committed to balance and sustainability.

At ITB Berlin 2026, Ibiza will feature a dedicated 102-square-metre stand (Hall 2.1 / Stand 105), with the participation of eight co-exhibitors representing local authorities and tourism-related companies. In addition, the Consell will host a briefing with specialised German media to present Ibiza’s sustainable tourism strategy.

ITB Berlin represents a leading international showcase for the tourism industry and a key platform for consolidating Ibiza’s presence in the German market, reinforcing its status as a benchmark destination in Europe.
