Mallorca has introduced a new tourism initiative focused on craftsmanship and cultural identity with the presentation of the Mallorca Artisan Fashion Route in Berlin. The project was unveiled at the Umweltforum during the international ITB tourism fair, aiming to showcase the island’s artisan heritage to the German market through a proposal that combines fashion, tradition and cultural tourism.
The presentation was led by the president of the Consell de Mallorca and attended by brand ambassador Carolina Cerezuela. The event highlighted craftsmanship as a way to experience Mallorca through its roots, recognising the work of artisans who continue to preserve traditional skills while creating distinctive pieces linked to the island’s cultural identity.
The Mallorca Artisan Fashion Route has been designed as a cultural itinerary connecting workshops and creative spaces located across different municipalities. Visitors are invited to explore the island through its living crafts, discovering the processes behind handmade products and the people who maintain these traditions.

The Consell de Mallorca presented the Mallorca Artisan Fashion Route in Berlin as a new cultural tourism proposal for the island
The initiative is organised around five main artisan categories representing Mallorca’s traditional craft heritage: textiles and clothing, jewellery and ornamentation, plant fibres, leather and hide, and footwear. These categories are integrated within a certification system that guarantees the authenticity, origin and quality of locally produced items.
The route includes workshops located in several towns, including Santa Maria, Alaró, Artà, Inca, Lloseta, Pollença, Esporles, Cala Ratjada, Palma, Campos and Sóller, transforming the island into a network of cultural and creative destinations.
The Berlin event also featured a culinary experience led by chefs from Mallorca, reinforcing the connection between gastronomy, culture and local identity. A musical performance by a Mallorcan group added a cultural dimension to the evening, highlighting the island’s artistic talent.
Through this initiative, Mallorca promotes a tourism model that integrates fashion, craftsmanship and cultural heritage, offering visitors a unique way to discover the island while supporting local creativity and sustainable development.
