The agri-food sector of the Balearic Islands is making a strong return to Madrid’s Gourmets Fair with a clear strategic goal: expanding its presence in national and international markets while strengthening its reputation for quality and authenticity. The regional government has reinstated its own 150-square-meter stand under the brand “4 islands to savor,” hosting 16 companies and two regulatory councils.
Recognized as Europe’s leading premium food and beverage exhibition, the event provides a high-impact platform for commercial expansion, professional networking, and brand positioning in a competitive global market.
Over four days, the Balearic stand delivers an immersive experience featuring live cooking sessions, wine tastings, and innovative cocktail demonstrations. This approach aligns with evolving consumer trends, where storytelling, origin, and sensory experiences play a crucial role in purchasing decisions.

Culinary presentations highlight iconic products such as Mallorca sobrasada, Mahón-Menorca cheese, and Mallorca olive oil, combined with local ingredients like almonds and Sa Pobla potatoes. Meanwhile, tastings of protected designation wines and other specialties offer a comprehensive showcase of the islands’ gastronomic diversity.
Regional authorities emphasize that participation in international trade fairs is essential to unlock new distribution channels, enhance competitiveness, and increase added value for the primary sector. The unified stand also strengthens the collective brand identity of Balearic products in key markets.
Amid growing global demand for sustainable, local, and authentic food, the Balearic Islands’ presence at the Gourmets Fair stands out as a strategic marketing initiative designed to boost visibility, credibility, and long-term growth.
