The Mallorca Council, through the Fundació Mallorca Literària, will premiere “Una veu plena de nius” on 18 July at the Pati de les Dones in La Misericòrdia. The production is the main event of the Blai Bonet Year programme and one of the highlights of the La lluna en vers festival. A second performance will take place on 19 July at the Bisbe Verger School courtyard in Santanyí, celebrating the literary legacy of the Mallorcan poet during the centenary of his birth.
The production brings together renowned performers Mercè Sampietro, Sílvia Bel, Toni Gomila and Jaume Madaula, who will interpret Blai Bonet’s texts accompanied by live music from Mar Grimalt and Carles Medina. The performance blends poetry, theatre and contemporary music to offer a new artistic interpretation of the author’s work.

Mallorca Council premieres “Una veu plena de nius”, the central event of the Blai Bonet Year at La Misericòrdia
Throughout 2026, the Blai Bonet Year is being developed under the motto “Una veu plena de nius”, inspired by a verse from the poem Soledat oberta. The programme includes literary readings, guided routes, exhibitions, educational activities, public conversations and stage productions designed to promote the lasting significance of Bonet’s literary contribution.
The summer schedule also features the BlaiVeu film series, with screenings on 22 July, 5 August and 19 August dedicated to filmmakers whose artistic vision shares strong connections with Blai Bonet’s creative universe. All screenings will be free of charge with prior reservation.
The commemorative programme will also include the opening of the artistic installation “Where the Bad Roads Are Lost” at Casa Blai Bonet on 19 July. Created by the collective Cabosanroque, the exhibition explores the concept of freedom as one of the central themes of Bonet’s work and will remain open to visitors throughout the summer.
