Inca will bring its 2026 summer neighbourhood festival calendar to a close this weekend with the Sant Francesc celebrations on 3 and 4 October. Most of the activities will take place in Fra Pere Joan Cerdà street, with events planned for different age groups.

The programme will begin on Saturday, 3 October, at 6 p.m. with a performance by the Rythm Nation dance academy. At 7 p.m., the Urban Peis dance academy will stage a second exhibition.

At 8.30 p.m., residents will be able to take part in an outdoor dinner accompanied by live music. Tables must be reserved through the Casal de Joves sa Fàbrica by calling 605 593 412. Grills will also be available for those wishing to prepare their own dinner.

Inca mayor Virgilio Moreno highlighted the role of these celebrations in neighbourhood life. “Neighbourhood festivities have a special value because they are an expression of the everyday life of our streets and the people who live there. That is why I encourage you to take part in the activities, get involved and make these days another opportunity to strengthen the ties that make Sant Francesc a vibrant community,” he said.

Moreno also referred to the participation recorded throughout the summer programme. “The positive response to these celebrations only shows that Inca is a vibrant and very active municipality. All the activities held in the different neighbourhoods have enjoyed good participation and a great atmosphere.”

The festivities will end on Sunday, 4 October. At 10.30 a.m., the Convent de Sant Francesc will host a Mass marking the conclusion of the programme. The Eucharist will commemorate 800 years since the passing of Sant Francesc d’Assís.

Sant Francesc will be the seventh and final neighbourhood festival held in Inca during the summer of 2026. Throughout the programme, residents of all ages have taken part in activities held in the city’s streets and squares.
