The President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, took part on 3 October 2026 in Operation Kilo 2026, a solidarity food collection organised by Mallorca’s Rotary clubs. Volunteers are participating at around 60 supermarkets across the island, collecting food and essential products for social organisations.
During the campaign, Galmés thanked the volunteers, organisers, participating establishments and members of the public for their involvement. “Behind every donation there is specific help for a person or a family going through a difficult time. Mallorca shows once again that it knows how to stand alongside those who need it most,” he said.

The President of the Consell de Mallorca also acknowledged the commitment of those taking part in the initiative. “Your dedication makes it possible for this solidarity to reach many homes. Thank you for giving your time and for turning small gestures into great help,” Galmés stated.
Operation Kilo 2026 is collecting non-perishable food, hygiene and cleaning products, and items for children.
The campaign aims to exceed the nearly 40,000 kilos collected last year.
