The town of Inca, Mallorca, has unveiled the official poster for Dijous Bo 2026, created by graphic designer and illustrator Rubén-Dario Garcia-Pujals. His artwork was selected from approximately ten entries submitted to the annual public competition organised by Inca Town Council. The announcement was made on 27 October 2026, with the winning designer receiving a prize of €700.

The poster brings together visual references to Inca’s history, rural traditions and local identity. Agricultural heritage is represented through a traditional woven basket filled with soil, a farmer’s hat, a horseshoe and a sobrassada, the traditional Mallorcan sausage.

Another prominent feature is the bell tower of Santa Maria la Major, accompanied by decorative street banners associated with the festivities. Together, these elements form a composition reflecting different aspects of the town’s cultural traditions.

The design goes beyond traditional symbols by placing particular emphasis on the people who attend Dijous Bo each year.

Expressive graphic strokes represent the thousands of visitors who gather in Inca’s streets for the annual event. The composition also includes textures reminiscent of handcrafted materials and embroidery, creating a visual connection with local craftsmanship.

Garcia-Pujals expresses the central idea of the design through the original Catalan slogan: “Perquè aquest dijous és Dijous quan TU el fas Bo!” — highlighting the role of participants in making the celebration what it is.
