Inca Town Council has approved the recipients of the 2026 Dijous Bo Awards, recognising Miquel Àngel Raió, four local senior citizens’ associations and the Cooperativa Pagesa d’Inca. The decision follows a proposal from the Municipal Culture Committee, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 17 November at the Teatre Principal d’Inca.

Presented each year as part of the Dijous Bo fair, the awards acknowledge individuals and organisations whose work has benefited the local community or contributed to the development of Inca.

Miquel Àngel Raió has been selected in recognition of a professional career spanning more than fifteen years in performing arts, cinema and video art.

His work includes over fifty staged productions and numerous audiovisual projects that have reached national and international audiences. His previous honours include the Premi de la Crítica Serra d’Or, the Premi Mallorca de Textos Teatrals and the award for Best Documentary at SOM CINEMA.

Since September 2022, Raió has served as artistic director and manager of the Teatre Principal d’Inca. During his tenure, he has developed a varied cultural programme aimed at reaching wider audiences.

The awards also recognise the contribution of four senior citizens’ organisations: Club del Pensionista Inca, Llar de Pradins, Gent d’Inca and Amics del Centre Sociocultural.

Together, these associations have a forty-year history of supporting social participation, community connections and emotional well-being among older residents in Inca.

The third recipient, Cooperativa Pagesa d’Inca, has worked with the agricultural and livestock sectors in Inca and the Raiguer area for more than four decades.

Its recognition reflects its support for farmers and livestock breeders, its commitment to local production and sustainability, and its involvement in local fairs, including Dijous Bo.

The cooperative’s work also includes managing the municipal slaughterhouse in a solidarity-based and public-interest capacity, alongside assistance provided to residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All three awards will be presented on 17 November at the Teatre Principal d’Inca, during the city’s main Dijous Bo celebrations.
