The Hospital Universitario Son Espases held its traditional Christmas Party to pay tribute to the professionals of the hospital centre who have retired this year and to the employees who have been working there for twenty-five years. In this way, the aim is to recognise the work they have carried out and the dedication they have shown. Also, during the festival, the prizes for the Christmas competitions organised in the centres of the Sector Sanitari de Ponent were awarded. The day’s event began with a mass officiated by Father Llorenç Lladó, followed by a performance by the Hospital Choir, and ended with the prize-giving ceremony for the competitions.

The first prize in the XXX Nativity Scene Competition went to the Hospital General, for the representation of a living nativity scene in which professionals and patients took part to create a Christmas story. The second prize went to the 3M Hospitalisation Unit. The professionals of the Paediatric Outpatients’ Department won first prize in the 13th Christmas Decoration Competition, in which the Rehabilitation Service and the General Hospital also received awards.

Rafael Ramis (first prize) and María Ángeles Ruiz (second prize) were awarded in the 31st Photography Competition.
