Councillor Fina Santiago signed the sponsorship contract with the 16 teams at a ceremony attended by representatives of each of the clubs, the Director General of Sports, Carles Gonyalons, and the manager of the Balearic Sports Foundation, Pere Joan March.

The councillor told the sports clubs that “you are worthy representatives of the work that is being done in Balearic sport and that above all it is the clubs and federations and each of you, who have dedicated a lot of time, space and effort in your lives to get to where you are. If you invest in sports, the results are magnificent and we have always been clear about this from the Government. It was right to increase this sponsorship by 300,000 euros because the progression of budgets over 8 years has shown that it is investing in excellent results and it is a recognition that the clubs have the guarantee of continuity and a certain stability. Thank you for your effort and commitment as excellent ambassadors of our autonomous community”.

The sponsorship of the teams consists of obtaining a media return of the image of the Balearic Islands and the Government, through the promotion of the name of a town, island, province or geographical area of the Balearic Islands through the name of the sponsored team, as well as other dissemination and publicity actions, during the matches played throughout the regular state category league in which they participate, as well as in other events and competitions held during the year 2023 with the presence of the sponsored team or club.

In addition to this sponsorship aid, clubs receive other aid such as aid for participation in national category competitions and aid for women’s teams.
