The competition is part of the Joan Fuster Year events.

The prizes for the Joan Fuster Aphorisms Competition have been awarded to the winners in Mallorca. The competition has two categories, one aimed at students in compulsory secondary education and intermediate-level training courses, and the other at the baccalaureate and higher-level training courses.

The prizes of the Joan Fuster Aphorisms Competition

The first prize winners were Alejandro Jiménez, Astan Diallo Joan, Irene Colitto and Naïm Bensenaa Díaz. The second prize went to Ariadna Bosch, Lucas Muñoz, Xavier Perelló, Abril Carrasco, Gerald Marí, Cristina Aguirre, Guillem Alexandre and Joan Pere Ollers. They are students from IES Son Pacs, IES Guillem Sagrera and IES Porto Cristo.

The first prize is a two-day trip to the Valencian Country, which includes a visit to the Espai Joan Fuster in Sueca and different culturally relevant places in the city of Valencia, while the second prize is a set of books and tickets to the two anime films planned for the Anime and Manga Festival to be held at Easter.

The competition was part of the Fuster Year events and was organised by the Directorate General for Early Childhood, Innovation and the Educational Community and the Directorate General for Language Policy of the Government of the Balearic Islands.

The Generalitat Valenciana, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Govern de les Illes Balears declared 2022 as Joan Fuster Year, in commemoration of the centenary of the birth of this intellectual, writer and cultural activist.
