The Government’s commercial vouchers

The Bons Illes Balears campaign promoted by the Vice-Presidency and Ministry of Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, through the Directorate General for Trade, has mobilised sales among small and medium-sized businesses to the tune of 1,217,566 euros, multiplying by 2.5 times the Government’s initial investment, which amounts to half a million euros for this first campaign in 2023.

These are the figures when 91% of the vouchers offered by the Government, which were put into circulation on Tuesday 21 March, have been used up.

Specifically, 822 establishments have already used up all the vouchers, that is, 85% of the total of 1,010 shops registered in this campaign.

However, although the vouchers have almost all been used up in the main cities, there are still some 3,000 vouchers to be used in establishments in different municipalities on the islands. The shops that still have vouchers available can be consulted at www.bonsillesbalears.com.

“The figures show that, once again, the campaign has been a success,” said the director general of Commerce of the Government, Miquel Piñol, who also wanted to encourage citizens to use the vouchers that are still available, which can be redeemed until 15 April.

The Government of the Balearic Islands will promote a second campaign of commercial vouchers in autumn, “to boost local commerce, benefit consumers, and support the local commercial fabric”.
