With a budget of more than 6.9 million euros and a completion period of 14 months once construction work has begun, this new infrastructure will meet the educational needs of the municipality.

The new centre will be located on a site in the Santa Eulàlia area, bordering the undeveloped pine forest area. The surface area of the site is 8,415 m² and the CEIP will have a built surface area of 3,606 m2.

The project foresees a construction following rational, economic and sustainable criteria. Therefore, natural resources will be used to achieve good air-conditioning of the centre, such as porches, gazebos, blinds, terraces, etc., in order to optimise resources.

This is a project financed by the European Union through the REACT-EU fund as part of the European Union’s response to the covid-19 pandemic, with the specific objective of responding to the schooling needs of compulsory education.

The construction of this new centre is one of the actions envisaged in the 2016-2023 Educational Infrastructure Plan (PIE 2016-2023) for the Balearic Islands, which aims to respond in an orderly and objective manner to the structural needs of educational centres in the Balearic Islands.
