The IBAVI, the IME and the Patronat Obrer de Sant Josep Foundation have signed this agreement with the aim of improving the conditions of the football pitch.

The Molinar football pitch

A protocol was signed today between the Municipal Sports Institute (IME) of Palma City Council, the Balearic Housing Institute (IBAVI) of the Government of the Balearic Islands and the Patronat Obrer de Sant Josep Foundation, the aim of which is to improve the facilities of the football pitch located in Calle de Quito del Molinar, the use of which was ceded by the IBAVI to the Patronat Obrer de Sant Josep Foundation until the 1st of March 2025.

The protocol signed today establishes the conditions for the IBAVI to transfer this football pitch to the IME free of charge. It also establishes that this facility will be included in the catalogue of sports facilities owned by the IME.

In this way, it is guaranteed that the necessary renovation and improvement work can be carried out on the football pitch (grass, lighting, equipment) for the practice of sport. It also stipulates, among other things, that the Govern will provide the necessary funding to be able to carry out these renovation tasks.
