05/06/2023. The Inca Town Council will carry out a new works contract for the renovation of the asphalt paving of 10 streets in the municipality. In fact, the deadline for submitting proposals for the execution of the project ends today, with a base bidding budget of 415,017.18 euros (VAT included).

“Over the last few years, we have made an important effort to keep our city in the best possible conditions and to achieve a good state of maintenance of our public spaces. As far as asphalting is concerned, we periodically carry out new contractions in order to renew the paving of the roads that are in the worst condition,” says the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno.

Thanks to this new project, the asphalt paving of the streets Marc Ferragut, Gabriel Buades, Josep Maria Llompart, Costa i Llobera, Cristo Rey, de Tren, Ausiàs Marc, Tirant lo Blanc and Avinguda des Tren will be renewed. In all these streets and roads, the asphalt paving is currently in poor condition, having lost its bearing capacity in many places. In fact, there are some points with soft areas, which must be rehabilitated so that the new pavement is well established.

The contract also includes work on the municipal drinking water network. The existing network is made of fibre cement and continually shows breaks, so it is considered appropriate in some cases to replace the crossings of the existing network with a new HDPE pipe.

Within the framework of this tender for works, new pedestrian crossings will also be created at the junctions of Calle Pérez Galdós with Joan Alcover and Costa Llobera with Joan Alcover. Once all the work has been completed, the road markings will be repainted.

Thus, with this new works contract, the Inca Town Council continues to develop a comprehensive plan to replace the asphalt paving on the streets of the municipality of Inca. Over the last few months and in previous years, different actions have already been carried out on various roads in the municipality and some rural roads.
