The Art Palma Contemporani association, in collaboration of the Consell de Mallorca, opens the summer season for the island’s galleries with the eighth edition of Art Palma Summer. The event, which will take place on Thursday the 8th of June from 6 pm to 9 pm, offers free visits as well as 20 exhibitions.

The programme of activities encompasses the city of Palma, Andratx and also Pollença. With the aim of disseminating and broadening the public’s knowledge of contemporary art, Art Palma Contemporani has also organised free guided tours led by experts in the sector starting next week until mid-July.

This year’s edition emphasises the multiplicity and quality of the exhibition proposals, which include artists with extensive careers, international careers, but also emerging artists and artists from the local context. The proposals of the associated galleries, in several cases, include multiple projects, both in the form of solo exhibitions and curated group exhibitions, in their spaces.

This year, the II Arts Week, organised by the Escola Universitària ADEMA, has been incorporated for the first time. The II Arts Week ADEMA, Setmana Internacional de la Docència i la Recerca en Belles Arts, has a full programme dedicated to different trends in the world of Fine Arts on the international scene. This edition, which is already underway, will last until Saturday the 10th of June, culminating in the International Performance Festival.

Art Palma Contemporani is the association of contemporary art galleries in Palma.
