  • As a novelty this year, in order to keep the programme as close to hand as possible, paper fans with the QR code have been distributed in the updated agenda.

Coinciding with the end of the school year, Inca Town Council has once again published the programme “Inca, open for holidays”, which brings together the activities that take place in the capital of Raiguer during the months of July and August, with the collaboration of Activa’t Inca, the Association of Shopkeepers and Restaurateurs of Inca. The mayor, Virgilio Moreno; accompanied by the councillor for City Promotion, Commerce and Digital Management, Miguel Ángel Cortès; and other members of the government team and representatives of various entities, have presented this compilation of acts and events.

“As the capital of Raiguer and an important city in the heart of Mallorca that is Inca, our aim is to show that urban, tourist and, above all, civic activity is as lively as ever during the summer and that every month there is a complete and varied range of leisure and entertainment for all ages and publics, maintaining traditions but including modernity,” explains councillor Cortès.

In this sense of including a more modern and innovative point, for the first time this year paper fans with the QR code have been distributed in the complete and updated programming of the agenda of activities of “Inca, open for holidays”. In this way, the catering businesses La Comercial and Es Born events have collaborated as sponsors, which has helped to finance the cost of the gifts.

For his part, Mayor Moreno stressed that “with this initiative we intend to contribute to further boost the economic and social fabric of Inca, making the city and the agenda of Inca more accessible and as close at hand as possible, never better said. We also continue to seek to attract visitors and make them participate in the events and enjoy the local shops and restaurants”.

So, once again this year, with “Inca open for holidays”, the council wants to combat the old popular belief that in the municipality during the summer, the activity is not as active as it used to be. Music, dance, exhibitions, cinema, children’s activities, sports, and cultural and traditional activities are part of the many proposals included in the programme. The compilation of activities will be complemented later on, with the programmes of the San Abdón and San Senén patron saint festivals and the neighbourhood festivals, among others.
