The Minister of Education and Universities, Antoni Vera, has appointed Mateu Suñer Servera (Porreres, 1975) as the new manager of the Institut Balear d’Infraestructures I Serveis Educatius (Ibisec). Mateu Suñer has extensive experience in the management of educational infrastructures, having spent almost twenty years of his professional career at Ibisec itself.

Suñer, a graduate of Business Studies from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, has held the positions of head of Administration and Accounting, as well as Director of the economic-financial area of Ibisec since 2004. Before entering public administration, the new manager of Ibisec also developed economic control tasks in two major airlines.

Likewise, between 2013 and 2015, Mateu Suñer already served as manager of Ibisec, a position he now takes up again. Suñer’s appointment was published in the Butlletí Oficial de les Illes Balears on July 18.
