Agreement with ASPAYM

The Consell de Govern has approved today the renewal and extension of the agreement with ASPAYM Illes Balears to provide the service of accompaniment for people with severe physical disabilities. The agreement, which starts on August 1 and ends on June 30, 2027, involves a total amount of 3.6 million euros.

In this way, continuity is granted to the agreement signed on September 5, 2019, between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Sports and the entity ASPAYM Illes Balears. That agreement, which covered from September 1, 2019, to July 31, 2023, provided for an approximate maximum annual total of 9,140 accompanying activities, and an approximate maximum total of 36,560 accompanying activities for the three years and eleven months of the duration of the concert.

The number of activities was later increased by 860 more, according to the Resolution issued by the Councilor for Social Affairs and Sports on March 21, 2023, and by 1,143 more after another Resolution sealed on June 5 of the same year. In this way, 15,000 annual activities were reached.

The agreement approved today in the Consell de Govern has a maximum amount of 3,554,275 euros (VAT exempt), for a maximum total of 58,750 activities within the territorial scope of the Balearic Islands, for the period from August 1, 2023, to June 30, 2027.
