Citizen Attention Service

The Department of Economy and General Services has decided to implement it from August 1 in order to resolve earlier the previous appointments that were already agreed. The SAC has citizen attention offices in Maó and Ciutadella. The procedures that are processed range from public transport cards, fishing and hunting licenses, large family cards, requests for subsidies, responsible statements, certificates of habitability, entry records or procedures for other administrations.

The opening hours during the winter are from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and during the summer from 9 am to 2 pm.

“From the 1st of August there will be a person attending by appointment to manage requests for transport cards, but also to carry out any procedure that the citizen wishes,” explains the Councilor for Economy and General Services, Maria Antonia Taltavull.

“The citizen must be able to go to the administration freely, without carrying out more procedures than usual or procedures that harm people who do not have access or do not know how to use new technologies. The previous appointment made sense during the pandemic, after that, it did not. From the government of the Consell, it was important to solve this issue and we started working to remove the previous appointment from the first moment we took office”, concludes the president of the Island Council of Menorca, Adolfo Vilafranca.
