The next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will be marked by the celebration of its fortieth anniversary, an exceptional date that the organization wants to share and involve the exhibiting companies that have trusted and made this event grow. For this reason, several activities are planned, such as the recovery of the Night of the Sea, focused on the 40th anniversary, a tribute to exhibitors, and actions to consolidate the show, such as conferences and sectorial seminars. The promotion of innovation and digitization of nautical companies will also be present in this edition, which aims to increase social nautical activities during the week of the fair, which will take place from 25 to 28 April 2024 in the Moll Vell de Palma. In addition, the fair will again host the Palma Superyacht Village, an area specializing in boats over 25 meters in length.

The fair will be organized by the Institute for Business Innovation of the Balearic Islands (IDI), an entity under the Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, and the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA).

A photograph of Nico Martínez stars in the image of the fortieth anniversary, which has as its slogan “40 years at full sail”. Martinez is one of the most internationally recognized nautical professionals, winner of awards such as the Mirabaud Yacht Racing in 2022, or the Mariano Aguada of Communication of the National Sailing Awards Terras Gaudas in 2020. He has also been the official photographer of the America’s Cup Challenger “Rioja España” to San Diego 1995, “Bravo España” to New Zealand 2000, and “Desafío Español” València 2007, as well as international regattas such as Barcelona World Race 2010, Record Barcelona-Nova York, Audi MedCup Circuit 2008-2011, or RC44 World Championship Tour.

The aim of the organization is that this anniversary serves to highlight the role of the fair as a pole of attraction for international companies and as a catalyst for the sector, one of the most important for the economy of the Balearic Islands. It should be noted that over the years, the boat show has been the gateway for many foreign firms to choose the Balearic Islands to establish themselves in Spain. It has allowed the internationalization of companies in the Islands.
