The success of the open day for pregnant women at the Hospital Universitario Son Llàtzer

More than 100 expectant mothers who are users of the Migjorn Health Sector attended the open day for pregnant women at the Son Llàtzer University Hospital. During the day, organised by the midwifery team, visitors had the opportunity to explore and learn more about the services and programmes offered by the hospital.

The success of the open day for pregnant women

The day began with a welcome in the Hospital’s assembly hall, where an informative talk was given, highlighting the Hospital’s commitment to quality medical care.

The day they included an informative session on pain relief strategies, where the approaches and options available in this field were shared, emphasising the importance of patient well-being. There was also a session dedicated to the role and functions of midwives at the Hospital Universitario Son Llàtzer, where attendees learned about the maternity and support services provided at the Hospital.

The day we ended with a presentation on key aspects of successful breastfeeding, highlighting the benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and baby.

In parallel to the talks, several visitors visited the information tables set up at the event. They were also able to learn about the different areas of the Hospital related to childbirth. This direct interaction with the professionals allows future parents to resolve doubts and learn more about the services available.

The open day was a success, as it offered the community the opportunity to learn more about the medical services and programmes offered by Son Llàtzer University Hospital to mothers-to-be.
