The “InterMou-te” days of the Consell de Mallorca

In a commitment to an active life in adulthood, today more than 700 people have gathered in Calviá for two meetings of adapted sports in nature by the Consell de Mallorca. The “InterMou-te” has dynamised two groups, one of them in the Burotell and the other one in the Galatzó houses, in the refuge that has been recently renovated by the Consell de Mallorca. The participants, coming from 39 municipalities and two old people’s homes of the Consell, are part of the approximately 2000 registered in the programme “Mou-te amb salut! “programme that the Consell de Mallorca runs with the local councils on a weekly basis.

These outings complete the three that have taken place during the last week, with a participation of more than 1.000 users, not only in Calviá, but also in Colonia de Sant Jordi and in La Victoria in Alcudia.

The meeting was attended by the second vice-president of the Consell de Mallorca and councillor of Environment, Rural Environment and Sports, Pedro Bestard; the insular directors of Sociocultural Promotion and Sports, Hermosinda Mariño and Toni Prats, respectively; and the deputy mayor and the general director of Gent Gran of Calviá, Javier Tascón and Mónica Molina.
